Q: How much do you charge for shipping?
A: Shipping charges will be calculated during the shopping cart checkout process. These prices are based on USPS Priority Mail rates plus our handling fees. We can ship by other methods and provide you with a custom shipping quote upon request.
Q: When I order by credit card or e-check, how will the charge show up on my statement?
A: Your statement will show "TMS" as the receiver of the payment.
Q: How fast do you ship?
A: Your order usually leaves our shop within 1-2 business days after we receive your payment. We primarily use USPS Priority Mail with delivery confirmation for quick shipping times. If you are paying by e-check, we will not ship until the check clears. We make our Grow Bags daily, so that you get the freshest possible product. Because of this, shipping times may be longer when there are high order volumes. Please contact us ahead of time to verify shipping times if you need your product within a certain time frame.
Q: How do you ship?
A: Orders will ship via Priority Mail, Parcel Post or FedEx Ground. We ship in plain or Priority Mail boxes. The senders name will say "TMS" with our PO BOX address and the package has no indication of the contents. We will send a confirmation email either through PayPal or FedEx when your order ships with tracking info. Make sure to check your spam/bulk folder for this email. Orders larger than 10 bags will typically ship via FedEx ground, so please no PO BOX addresses on these orders.
Q: Why can't I track my package with the USPS tracking number provided to me by PayPal?
A: Unfortunately, the post office does not provide real-time tracking on most packages unless you pay extra for it. The tracking number you will receive is a delivery confirmation number that will tell you the date we printed the shipping label. The tracking information usually won't update again until the package has been delivered.
Q: How many mushrooms can I grow with one of your Grow Bags?
A: This can vary greatly from strain to strain and species to species and would be impossible to guess. We recommend experimenting with different mushroom strains/species to find out which works best for you.
Q: What if my package is damaged?
A: Don't even open the package. Just refuse it and send us an email. When we get the package back we will promptly send replacements.
Q: I don't have a credit card. Can I mail my payment?
A: Yes!
Q: Do you have a guarantee on your Grow Bags? If so, how does it work?
A: If your Grow Bags are contaminated, you may return them to us for replacements. We guarantee the bags for 30 days after receipt from contamination. If the bags have been inoculated already, we CANNOT accept them for return. Contamination spreads quickly, so if the bags are contaminated, you should be able to see it by the time they arrive to you. If your bags show no signs of growth OR contamination more than 2 full weeks after you have inoculated them, make sure that your spore syringe is viable and possibly try using more spore solution. We rarely have customer complaints about our bags not producing. If you have a viable spore syringe and you use our bags within a reasonable time frame, YOU WILL GROW MUSHROOMS!
Q: I ordered from (insert shady website here) and they ripped me off. How do I know you won't do the same thing?
A: Good question. Most of the rip off sites have ridiculously high prices. Some sell similar mycobags at prices up to $100 EACH! Their plan is to take all your money on the first sale because they know you won't be ordering again. Use common sense and avoid ordering from these clowns. You can do some quick research on the many mushroom forums online to see that we have a good reputation in the mushroom growing community and have been around for a few years, not a few months like the fly-by-night companies that have come and gone in this business.
Q: Is my payment info safe and my information private?
A: Yes, your payment is processed by PayPal with secure, 128bit encryption. We only receive your payment, not any of your personal information except your email and ship to addresses. All mail orders are destroyed after shipment and we will never give out our customers information to ANYONE, PERIOD!
Q: What is your return policy?
A: Bags can only be returned for a refund in UNUSED condition within 10 days of receipt. Customer is responsible for return shipping charges and will not be refunded for shipping and handling charges. The only exception to this rule is if your bags are contaminated prior to inoculation per our 30 day guarantee. In this case we will reimburse shipping costs to you pending an inspection of the returned bags.
Q: The address I provided during checkout was incorrect and when I track my package it says it was "returned to sender". Can you reship my order to the correct address?
A: We have been getting a lot of incorrect addresses lately or packages that were never claimed when the shipper left a notice for the customer. You as the customer are responsible for making sure that your address is correct during the shopping cart checkout and that you are available to receive your package when it ships. You will be charged an additional shipping fee if your package is returned due to an incorrect address you provided or you fail to pick up your package from the shipper after a notice was left. Your package will not be reshipped unless we receive the additional fee. PLEASE make sure you list a COMPLETE and CORRECT address to avoid this happening. Include the the ENTIRE street name. For example: If you live on 123 Palmer Street, don't list your address as 123 Palmer. Include your apartment, unit, lot, suite, etc. numbers. If your package is being shipped to a business, include the business name with an ATTN: (your name). Thank you for your cooperation on this matter.
Q: I don't have access to the internet. Can I get a catalog from you or call you?
A: Sorry, but we DO NOT have a catalog or phone number to call. All questions can be answered through our email address: sales@themadseason.com, which we check daily. If you don't have internet access, we're not sure how you found us in the first place =)
